divided beauty.

 Divided Beauty.

Cherry blossoms cut into the overcast sky.

Trek further down this path, the clouds are hidden by a rose sea.

The eager tree stands tall, proud of its beauty

Cracked dark wood rough against her skin

Disagreeing to the soft petals which kiss her knuckles.

Beside this simple path the world turns sharp.

Cars rush down the wide road, always in a hurry.

Their noises and smells plague the trees.

Growls of engines march down the path.

The distinct border separating them is littered with crushed petals.

But still in both sides, beauty can be seen.

Natural beauty unfurls through the blossoms.

Effortless to see.

While the power and innovation of the road and powerful cars hides.

Hidden away from the naked eye.

Stretching across the border, the vast sky swirls lazily along.

Dipping its great head, startled as something so little as contrast.

For without the solemn warrior,

There would be nothing.
